There is a
desperate need in the State of Nebraska for African American
adoptive homes. Currently, around 140 metro area children are waiting
to find a family, and of these, many are African American children. In
addition, there are pregnant teenage girls wanting to place their infants
for adoption - if there are minority or interracial families for their
babies.
Child Saving
Institute (CSI) provides services to recruit, educate and assist
adoptive families. CSI also handles all placement and post-adoption
services. With everyone's help, CSI can find more homes for Omaha's
children. |

Here's what you
can do:
- Spread the word! Tell
friends and family members about the need for minority adoptive homes for
infants and older children.
- Host an informational meeting in
your home, at your office or with a community group.
- Get your church involved through
bulletins, posters, speaking opportunities and workshops.
- Hang flyers at your local
library, YMCA, daycare, community center and anywhere else they will be
seen.
- Call CSI with any suggestions of
people or groups to contact for networking.
- Call CSI if YOUR family is
interested in providing a home for an infant or older child.
