Many Americans heard the news of Coretta Scott King’s passing. Here at
Discover Black Omaha we mourn her passing and at the same time reflect
back on her many accomplishments. We feel that we have lost a long time
defender and fighter for social justice.
We
have a responsibility in our community to continue to work towards
equality here in Omaha. Coretta Scott King’s passing had a personal
effect on each of us.
We
each ask the question, “What have we done to make a difference for our
families and our community?” We came to the conclusion that we still
have a lot of work to do. With your help we can become a voice for many
here in Omaha that may have something to say, but no where to say it. We
want to know how Coretta Scott King’s passing has affected you. If you
