Motto: Catering to All Your Personal Hair Care Needs

Theresa C. Bradley, R.C - Owner

A Wild Hair

Camelot Business Center

When you walk in the door at A Wild Hair beauty salon, the first thing that you will see is a gleaming smile from owner and stylist Theresa Bradley. One client is under the dryer, while another sits in the stylist’s chair getting her mane flat ironed. For anyone who’s ever waited in a salon or barbershop the stylist’s chair is the place we all eagerly anticipate. The difference at A Wild Hair is that you don’t have to wait hours upon hours for your turn.
Theresa is very conscience of her customer’s time and books her schedule accordingly. But don’t be mistaken, walk-ins are welcome. When asked if she preferred to do a specific type of hair or style Theresa answered, “I do all types of hair. Caucasian, black, and Latino. [When you are dealing with] a true hairstylist, when a person walks through the door, they should be able to leave looking good, no matter what the nationality.” “I love doing hair in general. I love making people happy and making people smile. I really don’t have a preference as to any style I like.”
Theresa feels that she is best at color and styling. “The health of the hair is very important to me.”

When looking for a new salon Theresa suggests:
 Atmosphere – Look for a nice environment.
 Maintenance – Can you still take care of the style when you get home?
 Instruction – Can you get hair care knowledge from your stylist?
 Personal Touch – Is your stylist concerned about your hair or do they treat you like a number.

Theresa is a seasoned professional having 11 years of styling experience under her belt. She worked for Regis Corporation, David Newson, and was licensed and self-employed while living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She believes that one of the most important things you can do before you start your own business is to learn from others.
“My mother has done hair for 25 years, so I was able to learn from her experience and mistakes.”
Theresa admits that there are challenges to running your own salon. “The challenge to having your own salon is balance, coordination, and keeping everything flowing throughout the month. You have to do hair as well as bookwork,” she said. However, she is quick to point out the rewards. “You get to have your own schedule. You get to use your business more like a ministry. You are able to influence other people’s lives and do things on your own terms.”
